(Notemigonus crysoleucas)

An ideal forage species for ponds, they tolerate a wide range of temperatures. These fish exhibit a high reproductive capacity. Golden shiners should be stocked at a rate of 50 to 100 pounds per acre as supplement forage.

 

FATHEAD MINNOW

(Pimephales promelas)

Fathead minnows provide an excellent food source. 2" - 3" in length. This is a prolific fish, spawning several times a year in water temperatures from 65' F - 80' F. Recomended stocking 75 to 100 pounds per acre.

 The emerald shiner is a slender fish with silver emerald colors on its sides. they can grow up to 3.5 inches in length. A great supplement in fall or spring.
